Learn how to sew on a button, fix a popped seam and put in a hem by hand or fix a child’s stuffed animal. Reuse or recycle what you have with a few easy sewing techniques. Easy hand sewing skills can revive your wardrobe and save you money on new clothes. Bring some things that need to be fixed and we will evaluate them for hand repair. We’ll talk about what to include in a basic sewing kit. Bring pins, scissors, and a small ruler. You will be provided a needle, some thread, a needle threader, and a couple of buttons to sew onto scrap fabric. Let’s fix that stuff that is just waiting for repair!!

Linda Teener has been sewing by hand and machine since she was six years old. She is the family sewing “go-to” for fixing jeans, sewing a hem, or fixing stuffed Spider Man’s arm!
