FrogWatch is a nationwide citizen science program that collects data on breeding frogs and toads. At the training, you will learn about the FrogWatch program; the importance of amphibians; frog and toad identification; wetland types; and data collection protocols. The data you collect helps to describe local species diversity, detect rare and invasive species, inform land management, and much more! Ages 14+. An important note: this training is for those who are serious about becoming a citizen scientist. There will be quizzes that you must pass at the end of the training in order to fully participate in FrogWatch. Enrollment deadlines: A - 03/18, B - 04/08.
