You are invited to a free "get acquainted" informational meeting to introduce the
historical Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers Gathering. This Gathering held at White Memorial Camp near Council Grove, Kansas, will be held April 26, 27, & 28, 2019. A forum of American Indian Elders from tribal nations across the country share from their traditions to participants also from around the US. The Gathering has been held annually since the mid-1980s, with beginnings in Asheville, North Carolina, and later brought to Kansas in 2002 as a more central location. During this informational meeting, drums will be available for drumming and singing traditional songs with class leaders. Time will also be given for a brief project making and learning about a Native American medicine wheel with
provided supplies. The class is led by board members of the Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers Foundation, which is the 501(c)3 sponsoring organization of the 2019 Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers Gathering.
