Pine Needle Basket
Sorry, we are no longer accepting registrations for this course. Please contact our office to find out if it will be rescheduled, or if alternative classes are available.
Georgia Perez will teach participants how to make a mini pine needle basket for special occasions just like her grandmother taught her! Corn was often put inside the basket to represent a gift of food. The basket can also hold one egg and could be used for Easter. Materials provided include pine needles, sinew or crochet thread, a pre-punched hard leather base, needle, and instruction sheet. In this class, you will learn a stitch to sew around pine needles to enable one to weave them into a basket just as you would for grass baskets. Ages 15+. Class fee includes materials.
