Personal Leather Bag
Sorry, we are no longer accepting registrations for this course. Please contact our office to find out if it will be rescheduled, or if alternative classes are available.
In this class you will make a small 3" x 4" leather bag that can be worn around the neck or hung in a room. The bag can be used to hold special keepsakes or empowerment fetishes such as buffalo, eagle, turtle, or healing herbs like sage, cedar or sweet grass. Instructor Georgia Perez, who was taught by her grandmother, will share many variations on this bag. In this class, you will learn how to sew with leather, how to make a beaded fringe, and how to do simple beaded edgework. Materials provided include a pattern, needle, leather, sinew, and beads to complete your project. You are encouraged to bring scissors or needlenose pliers. Ages 15+. Class fee includes materials.
