This studio course introduces the fundamentals of spray painting as a technical and expressive medium. Students develop skills in aerosol control, including flow, pressure, and techniques such as gradients, stenciling, layering, and texture. Emphasis is placed on surface preparation, color theory, and safety practices. Through guided projects, students explore various surfaces while refining their style. The course culminates in original works demonstrating the ability to plan and execute spray-painted compositions from concept to completion. Ages 13+.

Justin Teel began exploring photography at a young age, and his passion for the arts grew to include painting and metalsmithing. This led him to study fine arts and ultimately specialize in photography at the Kansas City Art Institute.
