Description

Join us as we explore this exciting medium. If you have never worked with Alcohol Inks, you are in for a treat. Beginners in the class will be introduced to the possibilities with this unique art. If you like abstract and not knowing exactly what is going to happen next, you will love this class. If your art style is more detail-oriented and leans toward realism, it may be a little more difficult. But please come and widen your horizons because alcohol inks - while you might not be able to completely tame them - can be manipulated into beautiful pieces of art. If you are familiar with AI basics, you will learn a few new techniques. In this class you will learn the properties of alcohol ink, what it can and cannot do. You will be given several tools to work with (all common household items), a sheet of paper and a blank tile for you to work on. With the exception of the varnish you will need to protect your work, all supplies will be provided to you. The varnish should not be applied for at least 24 hours after the piece is completed.

For those who have taken the previous class but would like to learn new techniques and ways to manipulate the inks, this class will help you get to the next level. Ages 16+.
