Using Photography to Tell Your Story

Sharing quality photography that's authentic to your personal or professional mission can lead to gains in audience, engagement, development, and more -- so it's important to know how to capture photos that communicate your impact. This course will teach you how to work with whatever camera you have available (smartphones welcome), as well as how to manage working relationships with in-house or hired photographers. In doing so, we will cover composition techniques; portraits vs. event coverage; indoor and outdoor lighting; visual storytelling; and more. Activities, assignments, and discussions will be conducted online via Google Classroom. Students will continue to have access to the platform and its resources after the class ends.
