Description

ArteCultura: read; reflect; interact; learn from and teach others. Learn Spanish and enrich your understanding of Mexican culture by examining the life of Diego Rivera, a muralist from México. For the first 30 minutes of each class, you will learn and practice beginner’s level Spanish grammar. The next hour is spent reading, reflecting, and discussing three aspects of Diego Rivera’s life: his country, his ideology, and his art. Before each class, students will read a section from the biography/art book assigned by the instructor. Before the first day of class, read Chapter 1 and 2 of the required book.

Required Book: Dreaming With His Eyes Open- A Life of Diego Rivera, by Patrick Marnham.
