The magnifiSCENT Mint family is full of aromatic plants that both stimulate/sedate and cool/warm. Mints are easy to grow and have many beneficial uses in teas, bath and body, cooking, and as medicine. Mints help in a variety of ways during cold/flu, aid digestion, calm and ease frayed emotions,, promote sleep, relieve pain, support women during menstrual and menopausal time. Discussion includes peppermint, basil, sage, horehound, lavender, thyme, oregano, bee balm, skullcap, motherwort, catnip, lemon balm and others.

Joanne Bauman (Prairie Magic Herbals) is a herbalist, teacher, writer, herb grower, and preparation maker of 22 years. Joanne's herbalism is wise woman in approach, bioregional, making use of common dooryard weeds, and is rooted in various history, folklore, and spirits of her ancestors' land. Joanne has presented at numerous venues and conferences. For Mother Earth News, Joanne presented workshops at Mother Earth News Fair, wrote for Herbal Living online & podcast Heirlooms and Herbals on the MEN Network. Joanne has her MA in clinical psychology with an emphasis to counsel clients with a variety of physical health/rehab concerns.

Joanne teaches people how to appreciate, connect with, and collaborate with plants to empower their health. She presents at The Mother Earth News Fair and the Midwest Women’s Herbal conference, and she blogs and podcasts for Mother Earth News Heirlooms & Herbals/Herbal Living.
